dumpster-truck-delivery in Greenwich, CT by Stamford Junk Pros

If you're running a kitchen reno in Greenwich or framing an addition in Westport, you don't need a hauler — you need a dumpster that's at the curb when you're ready, gets swapped without a phone call, and doesn't disappear for two days when you fill up mid-tile-demo. Here's how we run dumpsters for contractors specifically.

Twelve years dropping cans in driveways across lower Fairfield County means we've worked with most of the GCs running residential reno in Stamford / Greenwich / New Canaan / Darien / Westport / Wilton / Norwalk / Fairfield. Same up-front pricing as residential, no contractor surcharge, no volume discount, no surprise overweight charges. The relationship is operational — we know the cadence of your job, you know which dispatcher to ask for.

Sizing for typical contractor jobs

Operational guidance — which size for which job type. The reality, not the brochure:

  • Kitchen demo + reno: 15-yard. Cabinets, tile, drywall, flooring, the old stove and sink. Most kitchens fit comfortably in a 15-yard with room for the demo phase plus the build-out cleanup. Heavy debris (tile + cement-board backer) means watch the weight cap — get to ground level if you're tearing out 200+ sq ft of tile.
  • Bath demo + remodel: 10-yard. Smaller footprint. Tile-heavy means you'll hit the weight ceiling before the volume — fine, that's what the 10-yard is sized for.
  • Whole-floor reno: 20-yard. More flexibility for staged debris, especially if you're running demo + framing waste in the same can.
  • Full home remodel: 30/40-yard, OR multiple 20-yards on rotation. Multi-can rotation is usually cleaner because the 30/40 is harder to place on tight residential lots.
  • New addition framing waste: 20-yard usually. Lumber + drywall + insulation is bulky but light — volume is the constraint, not weight.
  • Specialty case — concrete or brick demo only: 10-yard, sized small for weight. Don't load heavy material into a bigger can — it can't legally come back to the yard loaded.

Pricing reference for all four sizes is in the table below. The full pricing breakdown lives at How Pricing Works — same canonical data the residential pages use.

Roll-off dumpster rental rates

Up-front pricing. No zone pricing. Each size includes delivery, pickup, dumping, the 7-day rental window, and a weight allowance shown below. Standard add-ons disclosed up-front and confirmed at booking. Tap any size for the dedicated size guide.

Included in your base rate

  • Delivery and pickup
  • Dumping at licensed transfer station
  • 7-day rental window
  • Included weight per size (see size table)
  • No zone pricing or driveway surcharges across our service area

Standard add-ons (disclosed up-front)

  • Overweight: $0.10 per pound over the included cap
  • Extension day: $15 per day beyond the 7-day window
  • Tire (if loaded): $50 each
  • CFC appliance (refrigerator, freezer, AC, dehumidifier — if loaded): $50 each

Add-on charges reflect actual transfer-station and disposal fees passed through to you — we don't mark up overweight, extra items, or disposal costs.

Final pricing confirmed at booking based on actual weight, rental length, and items loaded.

What can’t go in the dumpster
  • Paint, solvents, oil, household chemicals (route through CT DEEP hazardous waste)
  • Batteries — any kind, lithium especially
  • Asbestos-containing materials (specialized hauler required)
  • Tires (route to a tire dealer or pay $50/each disposal fee if loaded)
  • Medical waste
  • Liquids of any kind
  • Customer is responsible for re-routing prohibited items. See the full prohibited-items list for Connecticut.

What you see is what you book — no zone pricing, no driveway surcharges, no weekend delivery fees. Standard charges for overweight, extension days, and certain prohibited items disclosed above and confirmed at booking.

Pricing for contractor dumpsters

The pricing table renders the same data the residential page uses. Same prices, same weight allowances, same overage policy.

The honest version: we don't price-discriminate. Some haulers charge contractors more because they assume the budget supports it; some charge less to win volume on multi-can accounts. We charge the same because the cost to run the truck and dump the load is the same whether you're a one-time homeowner or a GC on your tenth job this month. Up-front pricing only works if the up-front number is the actual number — no contractor markup, no volume discount.

For repeat commercial customers, billing flexibility is a conversation. Standard terms are credit card before delivery for the first job; once we know your operation, we work out what fits. Call (203) 219-8855 to discuss.

What's different about contractor dumpsters (vs. homeowner rentals)

Mostly: scheduling friction goes away once we know your operation.

  • Scheduling. Most contractors call Friday for Monday delivery to start the work week. We handle that — Friday call, Monday morning drop, on the schedule. Same-day delivery if you call before 11 AM, useful for unexpected demo waste from walkthrough surprises ("the wall behind the wall has plaster").
  • Swap-outs. When the can fills mid-job, call us — we pick up full and drop empty. Same-day swap from Stamford yard before 11 AM, next-day everywhere else. The cleanest swap-outs happen when the dispatcher knows your job number and your site address before you call (set up at first delivery).
  • Driveway and job-site placement. Most residential reno sites work fine. We can advise on tight access, sloped driveways, or city permit requirements — Stamford, Greenwich, Norwalk all have street-placement permit rules that fall on the homeowner or contractor (we don't pull permits, we advise).
  • Heavy debris awareness. Kitchen tile + cement board, bathroom tile, plaster all weigh more than people expect. We don't surprise-bill for overweight; we educate at delivery so you load the right size from the start. Better operations for both of us.
  • Photo coordination at swap-outs. Most contractor jobs benefit from before / during / after photos for the project file. We'll text photos at swap-outs if you want — request at booking.

This is the second bagster I got and as usual it was great. This is the second time I got a bagster from them. Again it was delivered promptly and picked up quickly when I called. The convenience of having a bagster around for months is great. I cleaned out lots of junk a little at a time. I even did a light remodel on a...

Contractor dumpster rental FAQs

Do contractors get a volume discount?
No. We charge contractors the same rates as homeowners. Reasoning: our prices are already compressed to honest floors — they reflect what it costs us to run the truck and dump the load, not a markup we can discount off of. If a hauler offers you a 'contractor discount,' check whether their base rate is higher to start.
Can you swap a full dumpster same-day if I call before 11 AM?
Yes — same-day swap from the Stamford yard if you call before 11 AM, dispatch permitting. After 11 AM, next-day swap. From West Haven yard for jobs east of the Quinnipiac, same logic. The trick: have our number on speed dial before you start a high-volume demo phase. The 5 minutes saved on lookup is the 5 minutes you don't have when the can fills mid-tile-rip.
Do you handle street-placement permits in Stamford / Greenwich / Norwalk?
We don't pull permits — that's the homeowner's or contractor's responsibility. But we know the rules in the towns we work most: Stamford / Greenwich / Norwalk all require Street Use (Obstruction) Permits for cans on the public right-of-way. Driveway placement on private property doesn't require a permit. We'll advise on which case your job falls into during the booking call.
How do I set up recurring delivery for a long-running project?
Call (203) 219-8855 and tell Lauren or Ashley the cadence (e.g., '15-yard every Monday, swap every Friday for 6 weeks'). They put it on the dispatch schedule. We don't have a self-serve account portal — recurring service is phone-call coordination, same as everything else. For repeat commercial customers, billing flexibility is a conversation; standard terms are CC before delivery for the first job, then we work out what fits the project.
Can I get a certificate of insurance for my project file?
Yes — these are routine. Tell us at booking that you need a COI and any specific additional-insured language your project requires (general contractor's name, project address, etc.) and we'll send it. Most GC and property management clients request one; the template is ready to go.
What's your largest contractor account been?
Multi-month full-home remodels with rotating dumpsters across multiple sites. Twelve years and 16,000+ jobs means we've worked with most of the GCs running residential work in lower Fairfield County. The honest answer: there's no 'too big' if your sites are in our service area — we just stage the right number of cans at the right cadence.
