Junk removal truck in Fairfield County by Stamford Junk Pros

Most commercial customers fit one of seven industry buckets — contractors, roofers, demo contractors, property managers, realtors, estate attorneys, office and retail. But every month we get calls from outside those: schools cleaning out a science wing, churches emptying a basement, nonprofits decommissioning donated furniture, event venues clearing post-event debris.

This page is the catch-all for commercial work that doesn't fit the other 7 industry pages. Same up-front pricing as residential, same dispatch logic, same documentation availability (W-9, COI, tax-exempt-certificate handling). The work itself is straightforward — what's different is usually the documentation paperwork your organization needs.

Commercial customer types we work with

Outside the 7 main industry pages, the recurring commercial calls come from:

  • Schools and universities. Single-job cleanouts during summer breaks, classroom decommissioning, science-wing or shop-class equipment removal, library weeding work. Usually run through facilities management or business office.
  • Churches and religious organizations. Basement / storage cleanouts, rectory or parish-house transitions, donated-furniture overflow that needs disposal, post-event cleanouts.
  • Nonprofits. Event venues, donated-furniture overflow that exceeds the org's reuse capacity, transitions between locations, year-end inventory disposal.
  • Government contracts. State, municipal, school district. We don't actively pursue this work but we register where required and complete one-off jobs. Recurring government contracts aren't our standard scope.
  • Event venues. Wedding halls, conference centers, banquet facilities — post-event cleanouts on a recurring or as-needed basis.
  • Storage facility cleanouts. Auctioned-off units, abandoned-contents removal, storage-business transitions when a facility changes hands.
  • Hotels and hospitality. Renovation cleanouts, FF&E (furniture / fixtures / equipment) removal during property updates, post-event cleanouts at hotel-connected venues.
  • Anything else commercial that doesn't fit the buckets above. If your organization needs commercial-flavored cleanout work and you don't see your category, call (203) 219-8855 — we'll figure out where it lands.

How we handle one-off commercial work

Most one-off commercial calls run like a residential junk-removal job, just bigger scope. We quote on site, confirm in writing, do the work, send the invoice.

Where this differs from residential: documentation requirements. Vendor onboarding paperwork, W-9 forms, certificates of insurance with specific additional-insured language, tax-exemption certificates, certificate-of-disposal letters, purchase orders matched to invoices. We handle these case-by-case — call (203) 219-8855 with what your organization needs.

The pattern that works best: call us with the property scope + the documentation requirements at the same time. We walk the property within a few business days, send a written quote that includes line-item documentation matching your organization's procurement format, complete the work on the agreed schedule, and submit the invoice in the format your accounts-payable team expects.

For nonprofits and tax-exempt organizations, send the tax-exempt certificate with the booking confirmation. We file it per CT DRS requirements and the invoice reflects the exemption.

Roll-off dumpster rental rates

Up-front pricing. No zone pricing. Each size includes delivery, pickup, dumping, the 7-day rental window, and a weight allowance shown below. Standard add-ons disclosed up-front and confirmed at booking. Tap any size for the dedicated size guide.

Included in your base rate

  • Delivery and pickup
  • Dumping at licensed transfer station
  • 7-day rental window
  • Included weight per size (see size table)
  • No zone pricing or driveway surcharges across our service area

Standard add-ons (disclosed up-front)

  • Overweight: $0.10 per pound over the included cap
  • Extension day: $15 per day beyond the 7-day window
  • Tire (if loaded): $50 each
  • CFC appliance (refrigerator, freezer, AC, dehumidifier — if loaded): $50 each
  • Mattress or box spring (if loaded): $50 each

Add-on charges reflect actual transfer-station and disposal fees passed through to you — we don't mark up overweight, extra items, or disposal costs.

Final pricing confirmed at booking based on actual weight, rental length, and items loaded.

What can’t go in the dumpster
  • Paint, solvents, oil, household chemicals (route through CT DEEP hazardous waste)
  • Batteries — any kind, lithium especially
  • Asbestos-containing materials (specialized hauler required)
  • Tires (route to a tire dealer or pay $50/each disposal fee if loaded)
  • Medical waste
  • Liquids of any kind
  • Customer is responsible for re-routing prohibited items. See the full prohibited-items list for Connecticut.

What you see is what you book — no zone pricing, no driveway surcharges, no weekend delivery fees. Standard charges for overweight, extension days, and certain prohibited items disclosed above and confirmed at booking.

Junk removal — truck-space pricing

When loading the dumpster yourself isn’t the right call — small volume, awkward access, or you just want it gone today — we send a crew. Pricing runs by truck space used, not by item. Final pricing confirmed before removal begins.

  • Minimum Load$145
  • 1/8 Truckload$195
  • 1/6 Truckload$250
  • 1/4 Truckload (~5 yd³)$295
  • 1/3 Truckload$340
  • 3/8 Truckload$395
  • 1/2 Truckload (~10 yd³)$455
  • 5/8 Truckload$535

Grizzly Dumpster Bags — 8 yd³ flexible dumpster, flat-rate pricing

The 8-cubic-yard flexible dumpster bag we designed in-house. One flat rate covers delivery, the bag itself, and collection — no rental clock, fill it on your own time.

Grizzly Bag — full service$299

Full service end-to-end — bag delivered within 48 business hours, you fill it on your schedule with no rental clock, we collect when you're ready (Mon–Fri only).

  • 8 cubic yards (~10-yard roll-off equivalent)
  • Delivery within 48 business hours
  • no rental clock — fill it as long as you need
  • Pickup Monday–Friday only — no weekend pickups

Hazmat policy: $95 travel fee AND non-collection if a bag contains prohibited hazardous materials at pickup. Driver dispatches, charges the fee, leaves the bag on site. Customer clears the hazmat through CT DEEP and reschedules pickup once the bag is compliant.

Heavy debris (concrete, brick, dirt, shingles) is also out — needs a 10-yard roll-off, sized small for weight reasons.

Pricing for general commercial work

Same up-front pricing across all four services. No nonprofit discount, no school-district discount, no government-contract premium. The pricing tables below render the same canonical data we use everywhere on the site.

Most one-off commercial cleanouts fit in the junk-removal pricing model — full-truckload tier ($795) for typical scope, multi-truckload ($1,500-$2,500+) for bigger work. For projects with significant fixture / debris volume, a roll-off rental ($447-$899) often complements the crew work. For staged or recurring projects, Grizzly Bags ($59-$299) sometimes fit better than roll-offs because of the no-rental-clock flexibility.

For repeat commercial accounts that run multiple cleanouts per quarter, billing flexibility is a conversation. Standard payment is credit card on completion; for established accounts, we work it out — call (203) 219-8855 to discuss.

Service area for general commercial work

Same as our overall service area — anywhere within ~1 hour drive of our Stamford or West Haven yard. Schools, churches, nonprofits, event venues across Fairfield County and the New Haven / Hartford areas all fall within reach. Full town list at Service Area.

They are great, so nice, appropriately priced. I just started using this company for our roofing business in Westchester. The driver was very nice, the office communicated, and everyone is professional.

General commercial FAQs

Are you registered to bid on government contracts?
We're not actively pursuing government-contract work but we register where required for one-off jobs. State or municipal call requesting service? Phone (203) 219-8855 with the procurement requirement (vendor onboarding form, W-9, certificate of insurance, etc.) and we'll work through what's needed. We've completed one-off school district and municipal cleanouts before; recurring government contracts aren't our standard scope.
Can you provide a W-9, certificate of insurance, or vendor onboarding documents?
Yes. W-9, certificate of insurance, vendor information forms — these are routine for any commercial-flavored cleanout. Tell us at booking what your organization's vendor onboarding requires (specific additional-insured language, COI minimums, signed vendor master agreements, etc.) and we'll send the documentation. Most submissions turn around same day.
Do you offer nonprofit pricing?
No. We charge nonprofits the same rates as everyone else. Reasoning: our prices are already compressed to honest floors — they're what it costs us to run the truck and dump the load, not a markup we can discount off of. We do work with a lot of nonprofits (churches, schools, food pantries, community organizations) at standard pricing, and many of them appreciate the honesty over the alternative of higher base rates with a 'discount' applied.
Can we use a tax-exempt certificate?
Yes. Tax-exempt organizations (501(c)(3)s, churches, schools, government) provide their CT tax-exemption certificate at booking and we don't charge sales tax on the invoice. We file the documentation with our records per CT DRS requirements. Send the certificate with your booking confirmation; the invoice will reflect the tax-exempt status.
Do you do recurring service for event venues?
Yes. Event venues — wedding halls, conference centers, restaurants with catering operations — sometimes need post-event cleanouts on a recurring or as-needed basis. Set up the cadence by calling (203) 219-8855. Standing relationships work well: we know the venue's pattern (Sunday mornings after Saturday weddings, Monday mornings after weekend conferences), the dispatch pattern is locked, and the per-event pricing stays predictable.
