What makes the Grizzly Bag different

  • Fits where roll-off dumpsters can’t — driveways, garages, lawns
  • No time limit — fill it on your schedule
  • No weight allowance restrictions (excluding prohibited items)
  • One simple flat-rate price: $299 for 8 cubic yards

When to choose a Grizzly Bag over a dumpster

The bag is the right call when a roll-off doesn’t fit the job. Tight driveways that won’t hold a 10-yard can. Garage projects where you want the receptacle inside the garage. Lawn or back-yard cleanouts where the truck can’t back a roll-off into position. Smaller cleanouts where you don’t need (or don’t want to pay for) the full capacity of a dumpster. Multi-week projects where the rental clock on a dumpster would eat the budget.

For larger renos, demolition debris, roof tear-offs, or heavy materials (concrete, dirt, shingles), you want a roll-off dumpster instead — book a dumpster here.

Grizzly Bag FAQs

What can I put in a Grizzly Bag?
Standard household and construction debris: furniture, mattresses, appliances (no refrigerants), cabinets, drywall, lumber, flooring, carpet, garage clutter, yard tools, kids' stuff. The full prohibited list — heavy materials (concrete, brick, tile, dirt, sod, rock, asphalt shingles) plus all hazardous materials (asbestos, batteries, liquids, paint, chemicals) — is in your rental agreement and on the bag itself. If a bag has hazmat at collection, $95 travel fee and the bag stays on site until you clear it through CT DEEP channels.
How long can I keep the bag?
No rental clock. Fill it on your schedule — a weekend, a month, a season. There's no daily fee piling up like a roll-off dumpster. When you're ready, schedule the pickup; we collect Monday through Friday only.
Where can I place the bag?
On a hard surface — driveway, garage floor, or a paved area — within 10 feet of where the truck can pull up. Grass is OK if the ground is firm and dry. The bag needs truck access for collection day: a paved driveway the truck can back into, or curb placement with a clear approach. We confirm placement when we deliver.
What's the weight limit?
No published weight limit for standard household and construction debris up to the 8-cubic-yard volume cap. The prohibited heavy materials (concrete, dirt, rock, asphalt shingles, etc.) are excluded specifically because they exceed what the bag was designed to handle — those need a roll-off dumpster instead. If you're not sure whether your debris qualifies, call us.
