What this page is
These are the terms for using our website and hiring us for a job. We’re a family-owned hauler in Stamford, Connecticut. We’re not lawyers. These terms are written in plain English so you can actually read them. By using the site or hiring us, you agree to them.
We try to keep our part of any deal short, fair, and honest. If something in here feels unclear or unfair for your situation, call (203) 219-8855 before you book and we’ll talk it through.
Who we are

What we do
Four services, all run by the same crew, dispatched from two depots (Stamford and West Haven):
- Roll-off dumpster rental — 10, 15, 20, and 30/40-yard sizes. The 30/40-yard tier delivers as two 20-yard cans, either side-by-side or swap-out. See pricing.
- Junk removal — full-service crew loadout, priced by truck-space used. 13 tiers from $145 to $795. See pricing.
- Grizzly Bags — 8-yard flexible dumpster bag for projects that don’t fit a roll-off footprint. See pricing.
- Demolition — standalone outbuildings and accessory structures (sheds, garages, pools, hot tubs, decks, fences, playsets). Not interior demo, not full-house teardowns, not anything attached to the main house. See pricing.
Service area: 5 Connecticut counties (Fairfield, New Haven, Hartford, Litchfield, Middlesex), lower New London County shoreline, and lower Westchester County, New York. We serve any town within 60 minutes’ drive of either depot. Full service area details.
Pricing and payment
Pricing on the website is the canonical pricing. As of the date this page was last updated, that’s:
- 10-yard dumpster: $447
- 15-yard dumpster: $547
- 20-yard dumpster: $647
- 30/40-yard tier (two 20-yard cans): $899
- Junk removal: $145–$795 depending on truck space used
- Grizzly Bags: $59 / $269 / $299 depending on options
- Demolition: starting prices by category, final quote confirmed on site
Prices include delivery, pickup, dumping at a licensed transfer station, and the standard rental window. Overages on weight, extra rental days, and certain restricted items (tires, mattresses, CFC appliances) have published add-on rates that you can see in advance.
We accept major credit cards, cash, and checks. Payment is due upon completion of service unless we’ve agreed in writing to net terms (commercial accounts). Late payments may incur a late fee.
Disputes about a charge: call us first. We’re a family business and we’d rather work it out directly than escalate. Email info@grizzlyjunkpros.com or call (203) 219-8855 and ask for Justin Hubbard.
Dumpster rental terms
The base rate includes a 7-day rental window. Extensions are available for $15 per day past day 7 — just call before the bin is picked up.
Weight allowance by size:
- 10-yard — 1,000 lbs (½ tons) included
- 15-yard — 2,000 lbs (1 ton) included
- 20-yard — 4,000 lbs (2 tons) included
- 30/40-yard — 6,000 lbs (3 tons) included
Over the included allowance: $0.10 per pound over the cap. That’s the transfer-station pass-through rate — we don’t mark it up.
What can’t go in the dumpster:
- Paint, solvents, oil, household chemicals (route to CT DEEP hazardous waste)
- Batteries of any kind — lithium especially
- Asbestos-containing materials (specialized hauler required)
- Tires (we can take these for $50 each if loaded)
- Medical waste
- Liquids of any kind
CFC appliances (refrigerators, freezers, AC units, dehumidifiers) and mattresses are accepted at $50 each. We’d rather you tell us up front than discover them in the load — either way you’ll be billed for them, and pre-disclosure is easier on everyone.
Placement and property damage:
We put boards under the dumpster wheels and skids to spread the load and protect your driveway. We use reasonable care for placement. We’re not responsible for damage when:
- You direct us to place the bin somewhere we’ve advised against
- The driveway, lawn, or surface has a pre-existing structural issue that wasn’t visible
- You override our recommendation to wait for dry ground (loaded bins on saturated soil sink)
When we recommend a different placement, we’ll tell you why. We’d rather talk it out before the truck drops than fix it after.
Junk removal and demolition terms
Junk removal is priced by truck-space used at the end of the job, not by the hour or per item. We’ll quote a tier range when we look at the job (either over the phone with photos or on site) and confirm the final number before we load. If the scope grows mid-job, we’ll stop and talk before continuing.
Demolition is quoted at category starting prices online, with a final fixed quote confirmed after on-site walkthrough. We don’t pull permits — that’s your responsibility when the job requires one (most accessory structures don’t, but check with your town). Stamford, New Haven, Hartford, and most CT towns require permits for detached garages and large decks.
Items in the bin or on the truck become ours. Once material crosses into the dumpster or the truck, we treat it as disposed-of. Don’t put anything valuable in — we’re not responsible for recovering items after they’re loaded.
Service guarantees and limitations
Scheduling: Call before 11 AM and we’ll usually make same-day work for towns within ~45 minutes of one of the depots. Towns further out default to next-day. Each town page on the site says which dispatch applies.
Weather: Loaded roll-off trucks have weight and traction limits. Heavy snow, sustained rain, or ice can shift a delivery from same-day to next-day or push it back a day. We’ll call you the morning of the dispatch to confirm; if the road conditions look unsafe we’ll reschedule rather than risk a stuck truck or a damaged driveway. No charge for weather-shifted dispatch.
Service area: Our 60-minute-from-either-depot rule is real. If your town is past 60 minutes from both depots, we’ll honestly tell you so on the call rather than book a job we can’t reliably deliver. Service area map and town list.
Cancellations: Cancel before we’ve dispatched and there’s no charge. Cancel after the truck is already en route and we may bill a dispatch fee equal to the cost of the round-trip. We’ll always try to reach you to confirm before charging anything.
Insurance and liability
We carry general liability insurance and commercial auto insurance. We’re licensed and insured in both Connecticut and New York. Certificates of insurance are available on request — commercial clients and property managers, just call and we’ll get one over.
Our maximum liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the total amount you paid for that specific service. We’re not liable for:
- Items disposed of after being placed in the dumpster or on the truck
- Pre-existing property conditions disclosed to or visible to us at the time of placement
- Damages caused by customer direction we advised against
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (lost income, project delays caused by external factors, etc.)
- Delays caused by weather, traffic, transfer-station closures, or other dispatch realities outside our control
If you think we damaged something, tell us right away — call (203) 219-8855 while the crew is still on site if possible. We’ll document it and make it right.
Website terms
The content on this site — pricing, town pages, blog posts, FAQs, photos — is for informational purposes. We try to keep everything current. If a price on the site contradicts a price you were quoted by phone, the most recent quote in writing (text, email, or job confirmation) wins.
Reviews shown on the site are real reviews collected from Google, Yelp, HomeAdvisor, Facebook, and Nextdoor. We pull them through a public-platform aggregation pass and filter for content quality (no obvious spam) — we don’t edit star ratings or fabricate text.
You’re welcome to link to this site. You’re not welcome to copy or republish substantial portions of the content (whole town pages, the pricing structure, photos) without permission. If you want to quote a paragraph or two in an article, that’s fine — cite us.
We may update the site — pricing, town pages, policies — without notice. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects changes to these terms specifically.
Disputes
Anything goes wrong, call us first: (203) 219-8855. We’re a small family operation. Most issues get resolved in one phone call with Justin Hubbard or one of the crew leads. We’d rather refund a partial charge or send a crew back to fix something than have a dispute hanging out there.
If we can’t resolve a dispute directly and it needs to go further, any legal action between us and a Connecticut customer is governed by Connecticut law and filed in the Connecticut state court covering the service location. For New York customers (Westchester border towns), New York law and the relevant Westchester County court apply.
Changes to these terms
We’ll update this page if how we operate changes. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Meaningful changes get a flag at the top of the page for 30 days. Routine corrections and pricing updates don’t.
Continuing to use the site or hire us for new jobs after a change means you agree to the updated terms.
