Plain-English. No lawyer-speak unless we have to.

Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect customer information when you fill out a booking form, browse the site, or hire us for a job.

Last updated: May 19, 2026

This is the privacy policy for Grizzly Junk Pros, operated by Stamford Junk Pros LLC ("we," "us," "our") at 1 Woodchuck Road, Stamford, CT 06903.

We're a family-owned junk removal and dumpster rental business serving Connecticut and parts of Westchester County, New York. This page explains what information we collect from you, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We've tried to keep it plain — no lawyer-speak unless we have to.

If you have questions about anything below, call us at (203) 219-8855 or email info@grizzlyjunkpros.com.

1. What we collect

When you use our website or book a service with us, we may collect:

Information you give us directly

  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • Your service address (where you want the dumpster delivered or junk picked up)
  • A signature when you complete a booking
  • Notes about your project (e.g., "place dumpster on left side of driveway")

Payment information

  • We use Stripe to process payments. We do not see, store, or have access to your full credit card number — Stripe handles all of that securely. We only see what Stripe shows us: confirmation that a payment went through, the last 4 digits of the card, and the billing ZIP.

Information collected automatically

  • Your IP address when you visit our website
  • Your browser type and device type
  • The pages you visit on our website and how you got there
  • Cookies (small data files stored in your browser — see Section 5)

We do not collect Social Security numbers, government IDs, financial account numbers, or any other sensitive personal information.

2. Why we collect it

To run your booking. Name, phone, email, address, and payment details are how we deliver your dumpster, pick up your junk, send confirmations, and contact you if there's a problem.

To stay in touch about your job. We may text or email you delivery updates, pickup reminders, and follow-up messages directly related to a service you booked.

To run our business. We use the information to keep records of jobs completed, payments received, and customers served — standard business operation.

To improve the website. We look at aggregate website data (page views, popular services, traffic patterns) to figure out what's working and what isn't.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not share your data with third parties for their marketing purposes. We do not use your data to target ads at you on other websites.

3. Who we share it with

We share limited information with a small number of service providers who help us run the business. Each one only gets the information they need to do their job:

  • Stripe — processes credit card payments. (Privacy policy)
  • GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) — manages our customer database, bookings, and notifications. (Privacy policy)
  • Google Analytics — helps us understand website traffic in aggregate. (Privacy policy)
  • Vercel — hosts our website. (Privacy policy)
  • Resend — sends transactional emails for some forms. (Privacy policy)

We do not share your information with anyone else unless:

  • You ask us to
  • We're required to by law (a court order, subpoena, or government request)
  • It's necessary to protect our rights, property, or the safety of others

4. How long we keep it

We keep customer information for as long as needed to provide our services and run our business — generally:

  • Active customer records: indefinitely while you're a customer
  • Completed job records: at least 7 years (standard tax and business record retention)
  • Website analytics: up to 26 months (Google Analytics default)

You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Section 7).

5. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses cookies — small files your browser stores. We use them for two things:

Essential cookies — required to make the booking form work, remember your session, and process payments. You can't really turn these off without breaking the site.

Analytics cookies — Google Analytics drops a cookie that helps us understand how people use the website (which pages are popular, where visitors come from, etc.). It's anonymous and aggregated — we can't tie it back to you personally.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. If you do, parts of the website may not work correctly.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party tracking for marketing purposes.

6. SMS and email communication

When you book a service with us, you may receive:

  • Booking confirmation emails
  • Delivery/pickup notifications (email and/or SMS)
  • Follow-up messages related to your job

These are transactional messages tied to a service you booked. We are not running marketing campaigns at this time — we don't send promotional emails or sales texts.

If you do want to stop receiving messages:

  • Email: click "unsubscribe" at the bottom of any email
  • SMS: reply STOP to any text message

Note that even if you opt out of marketing, we may still need to contact you about an active booking (e.g., the driver is on the way).

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have certain rights over your personal information:

All customers:

  • Ask us what information we have about you
  • Ask us to correct information that's wrong
  • Ask us to delete your information (with some exceptions — for example, we may need to retain records of completed transactions for tax purposes)
  • Opt out of marketing communications

Connecticut residents (under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act):

  • The above rights, plus the right to opt out of "targeted advertising" (we don't do this anyway) and "sale" of personal data (we don't do this either)
  • The right to appeal a denial of one of these requests

New York residents:

  • The above rights under the New York SHIELD Act

To exercise any of these rights, email info@grizzlyjunkpros.com or call (203) 219-8855. We'll respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests — typically by confirming details about a past job or matching the contact information we have on file.

8. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us their information, contact us at info@grizzlyjunkpros.com and we'll delete it.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information:

  • Payment data is handled by Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant)
  • Our website uses HTTPS encryption
  • Access to customer records is limited to authorized staff
  • We don't store your full credit card number anywhere

No system is 100% secure. If something goes wrong (a data breach), we'll notify affected customers as required by Connecticut and New York law.

10. Out-of-state customers

We primarily serve Connecticut and lower Westchester County, NY. If you contact us from outside these areas, your information will still be handled under this policy and applicable U.S. law. We do not knowingly serve customers outside the United States.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and post a notice on the website. For material changes (like starting to sell data — which we have no plans to do — or adding marketing tracking), we'll send notice to customers we have email addresses for.
