We dispatch Branford from our West Haven yard, about a 20-minute drive from our West Haven yard via I-95 east. Branford is a coastal New Haven County town with a strong split between waterfront neighborhoods (Stony Creek, Pine Orchard, Indian Neck, Short Beach) and inland residential (Branford Hills, Branford Center, Pawson Park). The waterfront pockets drive a steady mix of seasonal-cottage cleanouts, dock and deck demos, and the occasional flooded-basement scenario after big storms. Inland Branford runs the standard New Haven County reno mix — kitchens, baths, garage cleanouts, roof tear-offs. Over 16,000 dumpster drops and junk-removal jobs since 2014, across Fairfield, New Haven, and Hartford counties. This page is what I tell Branford homeowners and contractors when they call.

How much does a dumpster rental cost in Branford?

Roll-off dumpster rentals in Branford use up-front pricing. The price doesn't change between Branford Center and Foxon — size sets the rate, not the address. The base rate covers delivery, pickup, dumping at a licensed transfer station, and a 7-day rental window. We don't surcharge for "longer driveways" or "harder access," and the Branford dispatch from our West Haven yard is built into the base rate, not added on top.

Four sizes cover almost every Branford project. The 10-yard runs $447, right for small bath remodels or concrete-and-dirt loads. The 15-yard runs $547, the sweet spot for single-room renovations and full garage cleanouts. The 20-yard runs $647, the most-common pick for whole-house decluttering, single-layer roof tear-offs, and contractor work. The 30/40-yard runs $899 — contractor-tier for full additions, multi-room renovations, and commercial buildouts. Full pricing reference at How Pricing Works.

What size dumpster do I need for Branford projects?

Branford's housing stock is more varied than most NH County towns — colonial shorefront cottages in Stony Creek and Indian Neck, larger inland properties in Branford Hills and Pawson Park, and a mid-size historic downtown around Branford Center. Sizing follows the project, not the neighborhood.

10-yard ($447) for small bathroom remodels, deck-demo loads on the waterfront cottages, or any concrete-or-dirt-only landscaping work.

15-yard ($547) for single-room kitchen renovations, full garage cleanouts in the older Branford Center stock, or a mid-size dock removal.

20-yard ($647) is the most-common Branford size — whole-house decluttering, single-layer roof tear-offs on the inland housing, larger waterfront cottage renovations, and Stony Creek estate cleanouts.

30/40-yard ($899) for contractor full gut-rehabs and the larger waterfront additions where setbacks and scope justify the bigger can.

Where can I put a dumpster in Branford?

Branford placement varies by neighborhood. Waterfront cottages in Stony Creek, Indian Neck, and Short Beach often have tight setbacks, narrow shared-driveway approaches, and limited turnaround space — we sometimes back-set the can at the street edge rather than push deep into a tight cottage drive. Inland Branford Hills and Pawson Park properties usually have plenty of driveway room for any size we run. The Branford Center historic blocks have the typical mature-tree-canopy clearance issue (loaded delivery truck needs ~22 feet vertical). For seasonal cottages without year-round occupants, snap a photo of the driveway from the street so we know what we're approaching before delivery.

For lawn placement, we put planks under the wheels. Minor turf compression is normal. We don't recommend lawn drops if it's been raining — soft ground doesn't hold a loaded box. Snap a photo of the driveway entrance from the street and text it to (203) 219-8855 if you're not sure about clearance or approach.

How fast can you deliver a dumpster in Branford?

Same-day works for Branford reliably — we're about a 20-minute drive from our West Haven yard via I-95 east, one of the closer dispatches we make. If you call before 11 AM and the size you want is on the lot, we can almost always drop the can the same day. After 11 AM or on weekends, next-day is standard. Delivery and pickup windows fall between 8 AM and 4 PM — we do our best to accommodate earlier or later requests when the schedule allows. Call (203) 219-8855 — live Mon–Fri 8 AM – 4 PM, AI assistant covers after-hours and weekends.

What about the Branford Transfer Station?

Branford's transfer station is at 747 East Main Street, open Mon–Fri 7:15 AM–1:30 PM and Sat 7:15 AM–2:30 PM (203-315-0622, per branford-ct.gov). Resident-permit details and the accepted-materials list come straight from Branford Public Works. The facility runs reliable hours given Branford's coastal density and ~28,000 population, but many residents still find a roll-off rental cheaper than multiple self-haul trips for a real renovation.

For Branford residents weighing self-haul against a Grizzly roll-off, the math runs roughly the same as in any New Haven County town: a self-haul is your time, your truck, and the per-load fees the town sets at the gate. A 10-yard at $447 base delivered to your Branford driveway, picked up, and dumped covers everything in one shot. The roll-off wins fast for anything over a couple of pickup-truck loads.

The transfer station does not accept hazardous waste — paint, solvents, oil, pesticides, lithium batteries. Those go through CT DEEP collection days.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Branford, CT?

Private property — your driveway, your land: no permit required. Standard Branford rental case. Public street, sidewalk, or town right-of-way: submit a Street Encroachment / Engineering permit through Branford's OpenGov online portal before delivery — the Engineering Department reviews all work in the town right-of-way (per branford-ct.gov). The street-permit case comes up most on tight Stony Creek and Indian Neck cottage blocks where there's no usable private driveway, and in Branford Center for downtown commercial work. State route placement along US-1 (Boston Post Road) or Route 146 needs a CT DOT Encroachment Permit instead — more common for commercial sites.

Branford neighborhoods we serve

Branford sorts cleanly into named areas, each with its own driveway shapes and project mix.

  • Branford Center — historic downtown core, mid-size mix of older homes and commercial, careful renovation work
  • Stony Creek — coastal village, summer cottages, tight cottage-block driveways
  • Pine Orchard — upscale shoreline residential, larger waterfront properties
  • Indian Neck — peninsula-end coastal village, cottage stock plus year-round homes
  • Short Beach — coastal residential, tighter lot sizes, occasional flood-recovery work
  • Pawson Park — inland residential, larger lot sizes, mid-century housing
  • Branford Hills — north-side residential pocket, suburban character
  • Foxon — north-east border with East Haven, residential mix

If your part of Branford isn't on the list, call — we likely already serve it.

What customers in Branford are saying

Spectacular service, even during Covid! First, a human answered their phone immediately and was clear and courteous. How rare these days! I got an appointment for next day! As promised, received a call that crew was on its way. My mother gave me last minute permission to move a fridge, not part of original request. So I had to tell the poor guys upon arrival that there was a surprise fridge move, two in fact, one removed, one moved within house. Crew didn't flinch. Then one fridge move required its doors AND house door to come off, which they achieved with impressive skill. I'm a manager in my work life and can say their professionalism was superb. Also, important for environment, the company claims to recycle materials. A+ on every level.

Amazing experience! I would definitely hire them again! Every interaction with this company, from setting up the appointment with Justin, and then having to move it up, because my long distance home movers moved up their delivery day at the last minute, and to the appointment itself, has been a wonderful, and positive experience. When we had to change my delivery window at the last minute, Justin was incredibly helpful and accommodating. And the amazing movers, Eric and Mike, "Big Mike", were so wonderful, professional, helpful, kind, and did excellent work.

It's spring cleaning time! Who am I going to call? the same great company I called 3 times before...grizzly junk pros! I have found these guys to be experts in moving large bulky items. They are hard workers, honest, fair and extremely efficient. I won't take a chance on any other company because I know what to expect from this one. They've done my cellar, things inside the house and now will call them for cleaning out the attic. The areas I've called them for aren't easy to maneuver in...amazing how they adapt to the job at hand.

Branford dumpster rental FAQs

How fast can you deliver a dumpster to Branford?
Same-day delivery is standard if you call before 11 AM. We're about 20 minutes east of our West Haven yard via I-95 — one of our closest dispatches. After 11 AM, next-day is standard. Call (203) 219-8855 — live Mon–Fri 8 AM – 4 PM, AI assistant covers after-hours and weekends.
Can a roll-off fit on a Stony Creek or Indian Neck cottage driveway?
Sometimes — depends on the cottage. Many Stony Creek and Indian Neck driveways are tight, with narrow approaches and limited turnaround. Smaller sizes (10-yard) usually fit; bigger sizes need a placement conversation. Snap a photo of the driveway from the street and text it to (203) 219-8855 before booking. For some cottages a Grizzly Bag fits where a roll-off doesn't — see /grizzly-bags.
Do you handle waterfront cottage estate cleanouts in Branford?
Yes — common Branford work. Stony Creek, Pine Orchard, Indian Neck, and Short Beach all turn over multi-generational waterfront properties regularly. Estate cleanouts run a 20- or 30-yard roll-off plus 1-2 junk-removal crew visits for the heavy items. Donation routing available for tax-receipts — see /charities-we-work-with.
What about deck or dock demo work in Stony Creek?
Standard work. Deck demo for waterfront properties usually runs a 15- or 20-yard roll-off staged on-site. For dock removal specifically (the in-water structure), that's our /demolition service — custom-quoted on site since access varies.
Can you handle a flooded-basement cleanout after a coastal storm?
Yes. Post-flood basement cleanouts are common in Short Beach and Indian Neck after big storms. Time-pressured work — we can usually dispatch same-day before 11 AM. Mention 'flood' at booking so we plan the crew for water-damaged debris (heavier than dry by the cubic foot).
What's the difference between Grizzly Junk Pros and Stamford Junk Pros?
Same company. Grizzly Junk Pros is the dba of Stamford Junk Pros LLC. We started in Stamford in 2014 and operate across Fairfield, New Haven, and Hartford counties from depots in Stamford and West Haven. Same team, same number — (203) 219-8855.
