We dispatch Bloomfield from our West Haven yard, about 55 minutes door-to-door from our West Haven yard via I-91 north. Bloomfield is the Cigna corporate corridor town — the insurer's headquarters is on Cottage Grove Road and a lot of the town's commercial work generates regular small-contractor dispatch. The residential side splits between older Bloomfield Center / Wintonbury blocks and newer Blue Hills subdivisions. Most of our Bloomfield work is kitchen-reno and contractor general-trades scope. Over 16,000 dumpster drops and junk-removal jobs since 2014, across Fairfield, New Haven, and Hartford counties. This page is what I tell Bloomfield homeowners and contractors when they call.

How much does a dumpster rental cost in Bloomfield?

Roll-off dumpster rentals in Bloomfield use up-front pricing. The price doesn't change between Bloomfield Center and Cigna corporate corridor — size sets the rate, not the address. The base rate covers delivery, pickup, dumping at a licensed transfer station, and a 7-day rental window. We don't surcharge for "longer driveways" or "harder access," and the Bloomfield dispatch from our West Haven yard is built into the base rate, not added on top.

Four sizes cover almost every Bloomfield project. The 10-yard runs $447, right for small bath remodels or concrete-and-dirt loads. The 15-yard runs $547, the sweet spot for single-room renovations and full garage cleanouts. The 20-yard runs $647, the most-common pick for whole-house decluttering, single-layer roof tear-offs, and contractor work. The 30/40-yard runs $899 — delivered as two 20-yard cans (same-day or swapped) for full additions, multi-room renovations, and commercial buildouts. Full pricing reference at How Pricing Works.

What size dumpster do I need for Bloomfield projects?

Single-bath remodel: 10-yard at $447. Standard Bloomfield bath gut.

Kitchen reno or garage cleanout: 15-yard at $547. The most-common Bloomfield rental — older Bloomfield Center kitchen-renovation work is steady.

Whole-house decluttering or single-layer roof tear-off: 20-yard at $647. Mid-size renovation work fits this size.

Commercial contractor work or full additions: 30/40-yard at $899. Two 20-yard cans, same-day or swapped. Common for Cigna-corridor commercial work and Blue Hills subdivision additions.

Where can I put a dumpster in Bloomfield?

Bloomfield Center has older mid-size driveways throughout — typical placement is private-property without complication. Wintonbury has slightly tighter older blocks; smaller footprint cans (10s, 15s) fit cleanly, occasional 20s need driveway photo confirmation.

Cottage Grove Road / Cigna corporate corridor generates commercial dispatch — placement on commercial sites usually has the room for a 30/40-yard tier (two 20s) without footprint constraints, but state route placement along Cottage Grove (Route 218) or Tunxis Avenue (Route 187) needs CT DOT consideration.

Blue Hills and Crystal Hill are newer subdivisions with wider suburban driveways; standard placement throughout.

For lawn placement, we put planks under the wheels. Minor turf compression is normal. We don't recommend lawn drops if it's been raining — soft ground doesn't hold a loaded box. Snap a photo of the driveway entrance from the street and text it to (203) 219-8855 if you're not sure about clearance or approach.

How fast can you deliver a dumpster in Bloomfield?

Bloomfield is about a 55-minute run from our West Haven yard via I-91 north — Hartford County is genuinely further than the New Haven County interior we cover same-day reliably. We run Bloomfield jobs next-day default. Same-day is technically possible for first-thing-morning calls when our route has capacity, but we don't promise it for Bloomfield the way we do for the towns closer to the yard. Delivery and pickup windows fall between 8 AM and 4 PM. Call (203) 219-8855 — live Mon–Fri 8 AM – 4 PM, AI assistant covers after-hours and weekends.

What about the Bloomfield Transfer Station?

Bloomfield shares a transfer station with Windsor at 500 Huckleberry Road, Windsor, open Monday 8 AM–2:45 PM, Tuesday–Wednesday 10 AM–2:45 PM (Thursday closed), Friday 8 AM–2:45 PM, Saturday 8 AM–3:45 PM per bloomfieldct.gov. Phone (860) 285-1833. Residents-only, non-commercial loads. Curbside trash is handled separately through All American Waste (860) 289-7850.

For Bloomfield residents weighing self-haul against a Grizzly roll-off, the math runs roughly the same as in any Hartford County town: a self-haul is your time, your truck, and the per-load fees the town sets at the gate. A 10-yard at $447 base delivered to your Bloomfield driveway, picked up, and dumped covers everything in one shot. The roll-off wins fast for anything over a couple of pickup-truck loads.

The transfer station does not accept hazardous waste — paint, solvents, oil, pesticides, lithium batteries. Those go through CT DEEP collection days.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Bloomfield, CT?

Private property — your driveway, your land: no permit required. Standard Bloomfield rental case. Public street, sidewalk, or town right-of-way: coordinate with Bloomfield Public Works (860) 243-1487, 21 Southwood Drive — they issue ROW permits for residential and commercial use per bloomfieldct.gov. State route placement along Route 187 (Tunxis Avenue), Route 218 (Cottage Grove), or Route 305 needs a CT DOT Encroachment Permit instead.

What customers in Bloomfield are saying

Spectacular service, even during Covid! First, a human answered their phone immediately and was clear and courteous. How rare these days! I got an appointment for next day! As promised, received a call that crew was on its way. My mother gave me last minute permission to move a fridge, not part of original request. So I had to tell the poor guys upon arrival that there was a surprise fridge move, two in fact, one removed, one moved within house. Crew didn't flinch. Then one fridge move required its doors AND house door to come off, which they achieved with impressive skill. I'm a manager in my work life and can say their professionalism was superb. Also, important for environment, the company claims to recycle materials. A+ on every level.

Amazing experience! I would definitely hire them again! Every interaction with this company, from setting up the appointment with Justin, and then having to move it up, because my long distance home movers moved up their delivery day at the last minute, and to the appointment itself, has been a wonderful, and positive experience. When we had to change my delivery window at the last minute, Justin was incredibly helpful and accommodating. And the amazing movers, Eric and Mike, "Big Mike", were so wonderful, professional, helpful, kind, and did excellent work.

It's spring cleaning time! Who am I going to call? the same great company I called 3 times before...grizzly junk pros! I have found these guys to be experts in moving large bulky items. They are hard workers, honest, fair and extremely efficient. I won't take a chance on any other company because I know what to expect from this one. They've done my cellar, things inside the house and now will call them for cleaning out the attic. The areas I've called them for aren't easy to maneuver in...amazing how they adapt to the job at hand.

Bloomfield dumpster rental FAQs

How fast can you deliver to Bloomfield?
Next-day default. Bloomfield's about 55 minutes from West Haven via I-91 north.
Do you handle Cigna corporate corridor commercial work?
Yes — Cottage Grove Road commercial dispatch is regular. Larger commercial jobs usually want the 30/40-yard tier (two 20-yard cans, same-day or swapped) given the multi-week project shape. We'll plan the deployment at booking.
What's the typical size for a Bloomfield kitchen reno?
15-yard at $547. Bloomfield Center's older housing stock generates steady kitchen-renovation work; the 15 buffers the mixed debris.
Are there extra charges for Bloomfield dispatch?
No. We don't zone-price. The 55-minute dispatch from West Haven is built into the published base rates.
Do I need a permit for my Bloomfield driveway dumpster?
No, not for private property. Public street or town right-of-way: that's a coordination conversation with Bloomfield Public Works.
Can you handle Blue Hills addition projects?
Yes — Blue Hills' wider suburban driveways host the 30/40-yard tier comfortably. For multi-week additions, two 20-yard cans swapped as the project progresses usually works better than a single static can.
