We dispatch Salisbury from our Stamford depot, about 90 minutes door-to-door from our Stamford depot via Route 7 north + Route 44. Salisbury's mix of the Hotchkiss School area, the Lakeville village, and the Mount Riga elevation country means most of our work here splits between estate cleanouts (when older NY-based owners pass or sell) and weekend-home renovation prep before summer / fall peak seasons. Lime Rock Park brings race-weekend rental activity, which sometimes shows up as our post-event cleanout work for neighboring properties. ~90 minutes from Stamford depot via Route 7 north + Route 44 — the outermost edge of our service radius. Pure next-day default with the elevation winter caveat. Over 16,000 dumpster drops and junk-removal jobs since 2014, across Fairfield, New Haven, Hartford, and Litchfield counties. This page is what I tell Salisbury homeowners and contractors when they call.

How much does a dumpster rental cost in Salisbury?

Roll-off dumpster rentals in Salisbury use up-front pricing. The price doesn't change between Salisbury village and Amesville — size sets the rate, not the address. The base rate covers delivery, pickup, dumping at a licensed transfer station, and a 7-day rental window. We don't surcharge for "longer driveways" or "harder access," and the Salisbury dispatch from our Stamford depot is built into the base rate, not added on top.

Four sizes cover almost every Salisbury project. The 10-yard runs $447, right for small bath remodels or concrete-and-dirt loads. The 15-yard runs $547, the sweet spot for single-room renovations and full garage cleanouts. The 20-yard runs $647, the most-common pick for whole-house decluttering, single-layer roof tear-offs, and contractor work. The 30/40-yard runs $899 — delivered as two 20-yard cans (same-day or swapped) for full additions, multi-room renovations, and commercial buildouts. Full pricing reference at How Pricing Works.

What size dumpster do I need for Salisbury projects?

Single-bath remodel: 10-yard at $447. Standard Salisbury bath gut. Village historic-district work uses the 10 for footprint reasons.

Kitchen reno or estate cleanout: 15-yard at $547. Most-common Salisbury rental — weekend-home renovation prep is the bulk.

Whole-house cleanout, weekend-home prep, addition framing: 20-yard at $647. Salisbury's rural / Mount Riga acreage handles the 20-yard cleanly.

Major contractor work, large estate cleanouts: 30/40-yard at $899. Two 20-yard cans — easy placement on the long rural driveways throughout the town.

Where can I put a dumpster in Salisbury?

Lakeville and Salisbury village are the tighter-placement neighborhoods — compact village cores with historic-district preservation context. We frequently recommend the 10-yard for any village-center work.

Mount Riga, Taconic, Twin Lakes, Amesville have very long rural driveways at high elevation — easy placement but winter dispatch reliability shifts significantly at these elevations.

Lime Rock Park area generates race-weekend volume; post-event cleanout work at neighboring properties is regular dispatch.

State route placement along US-7, Route 41, Route 44, or Route 112 needs a CT DOT Encroachment Permit.

For lawn placement, we put planks under the wheels. Minor turf compression is normal. We don't recommend lawn drops if it's been raining — soft ground doesn't hold a loaded box. Snap a photo of the driveway entrance from the street and text it to (203) 219-8855 if you're not sure about clearance or approach.

How fast can you deliver a dumpster in Salisbury?

Salisbury is about a 90-minute run from our Stamford depot via Route 7 north + Route 44 — at the outer band of our regular service radius. We run Salisbury jobs pure next-day default. Route 7 elevation and winter weather make same-day unreliable at this distance; we schedule next-day to give you a confirmed window rather than a maybe. Route 7 north climbs into Connecticut's hill country — Salisbury sits at elevations that see ice storms and heavy snow when Stamford and Fairfield County are clear. Winter dispatch reliability shifts further toward next-day-plus for the December–March window. We'll always call you the morning of delivery to confirm — if roads have deteriorated overnight, we push to the next clear-road day rather than risk a stuck truck. Delivery and pickup windows fall between 8 AM and 4 PM. Call (203) 219-8855 — live Mon–Fri 8 AM – 4 PM, AI assistant covers after-hours and weekends.

What about the Salisbury Transfer Station?

Salisbury shares a transfer station jointly with Sharon at the Salisbury/Sharon Transfer Station, 410 Millerton Road, Lakeville, open M/T/Th/F/Sat 8 AM–4 PM and Sun 9 AM–1 PM (closed Wednesday) per salisburysharontransferstation.com. Phone (860) 435-5178. Joint facility serves Salisbury + Sharon residents only; no cash accepted (card or check at gate). Recycling is mandatory.

For Salisbury residents weighing self-haul against a Grizzly roll-off, the math runs roughly the same as in any Litchfield County town: a self-haul is your time, your truck, and the per-load fees the town sets at the gate. A 10-yard at $447 base delivered to your Salisbury driveway, picked up, and dumped covers everything in one shot. The roll-off wins fast for anything over a couple of pickup-truck loads — and for rural far-NW Litchfield properties where the self-haul drive itself can eat a half-day round trip.

The transfer station does not accept hazardous waste — paint, solvents, oil, pesticides, lithium batteries. Those go through CT DEEP collection days.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Salisbury, CT?

Private property — your driveway, your land: no permit required. Standard rural Salisbury case. Public street, sidewalk, or town right-of-way: coordinate with Salisbury Town Hall at 27 Main Street — the Town Clerk (860) 435-5182 and Building Official (860) 435-5177 are the canonical contacts per salisburyct.us. Salisbury's small-town municipal structure handles dumpster-permit questions through these offices. Lakeville and Salisbury village historic-district placement may have additional review given the preservation context.

What customers in Salisbury are saying

Spectacular service, even during Covid! First, a human answered their phone immediately and was clear and courteous. How rare these days! I got an appointment for next day! As promised, received a call that crew was on its way. My mother gave me last minute permission to move a fridge, not part of original request. So I had to tell the poor guys upon arrival that there was a surprise fridge move, two in fact, one removed, one moved within house. Crew didn't flinch. Then one fridge move required its doors AND house door to come off, which they achieved with impressive skill. I'm a manager in my work life and can say their professionalism was superb. Also, important for environment, the company claims to recycle materials. A+ on every level.

Amazing experience! I would definitely hire them again! Every interaction with this company, from setting up the appointment with Justin, and then having to move it up, because my long distance home movers moved up their delivery day at the last minute, and to the appointment itself, has been a wonderful, and positive experience. When we had to change my delivery window at the last minute, Justin was incredibly helpful and accommodating. And the amazing movers, Eric and Mike, "Big Mike", were so wonderful, professional, helpful, kind, and did excellent work.

It's spring cleaning time! Who am I going to call? the same great company I called 3 times before...grizzly junk pros! I have found these guys to be experts in moving large bulky items. They are hard workers, honest, fair and extremely efficient. I won't take a chance on any other company because I know what to expect from this one. They've done my cellar, things inside the house and now will call them for cleaning out the attic. The areas I've called them for aren't easy to maneuver in...amazing how they adapt to the job at hand.

Salisbury dumpster rental FAQs

How fast can you deliver to Salisbury?
Pure next-day default. Salisbury's about 90 minutes from our Stamford depot via Route 7 north + Route 44 — the outermost edge of our regular service radius.
Do you handle Lime Rock Park race-weekend work?
Yes — post-event cleanout work at properties neighboring Lime Rock Park is regular Salisbury dispatch, especially in the late-fall window between race seasons. 15-yard or 20-yard typically fits.
What's Salisbury's weekend-home economy like for dispatch?
Significant — Lakeville and Mount Riga both have substantial weekend-home / second-home populations. Estate cleanouts when older NY-based owners pass or sell are common; pre-season renovation prep also generates steady spring + fall dispatch.
Are there extra charges for Salisbury dispatch?
No. We don't zone-price. The 90-minute dispatch from Stamford is built into the published base rates. This is the outermost edge of our service radius; if you're not sure whether Salisbury is in our area, the answer is yes — we just don't promise same-day at that distance.
Do I need a permit for my Salisbury driveway dumpster?
No, not for private property. Salisbury's rural acreage means most placement is on private driveways without complication. Lakeville and Salisbury village historic-district placement may need additional review.
Can you handle winter delivery to Mount Riga / high-elevation Salisbury?
We schedule next-day default. Winter dispatch reliability shifts further toward next-day-plus for the December-March window — Mount Riga sits at Connecticut's highest elevation and sees ice storms and heavy snow when Stamford and Fairfield County are clear. We'll always call you the morning of delivery to confirm — if roads have deteriorated overnight, we push to the next clear-road day rather than risk a stuck truck.
